In our Audition Prep workshop, we immerse participants in a holistic approach to audition readiness. We kickstart with invigorating physical and vocal warmups, priming our bodies and voices for performance. Tackling nerves head-on, we delve into both physical and mental strategies for composure under pressure. We will also cover the practical elements of crafting compelling artist bios with real-world examples, and the importance of professional headshots. Through partner exercises, attendees hone monologues or songs, refining their craft and bolstering confidence. In a supportive environment, participants can engage in mock auditions, putting newfound skills to the test. This comprehensive workshop equips performers with the tools for dealing with audition nerves by being fully prepared and grounded.

Pre-workshop prep:
— tools for writing: a computer and/or a pen and notebook.
— participants will have the opportunity to practice a short monologue or song of 2 minutes’ length through small group and partner work. If you wish to do this, please be prepared with a monologue or backing track.
