1:00pm to 2:30pm – OASIS Art Mosaic Project with Barbara Camph
OASIS Fine Art & Craft is Harrisonburg Virginia’s premiere artist cooperative! OASIS exhibits and sells the work of about 35 Shenandoah Valley area artists and artisans. They are open 7 days a week, in the heart of Harrisonburg’s historic downtown and its Arts & Cultural District.

The mosaic workshop, brought to you by OASIS, is led by the wildly fun and talented Barbara Camph. Barbara has been a full-time stained glass artist for more than 20 years, running her own business in southern Portugal, Panama, and now the U.S. Her work ranges from large window installations, lamps and mirrors, to smaller gift items. Barbara has one of the largest inventories in glass in the area, offering clients an enormous range of colors and textures from which to choose. Barbara teaches extensively, either at her home studio or at other locations. Known as “the glass lady,” she can produce virtually anything in glass. Barbara grew up in Germany and England since her father was with the U.S. Diplomatic Corps. After returning to the U.S., she lived in the Washington, D.C. area for about ten years. She moved to San Francisco in the late 70’s to join her husband, Tom, after being introduced by a mutual friend. She learned stained glass as a hobby, while working as a contract negotiator for a research firm.

2:00pm to 3:30pm – Face Painting with Valerie Larkin

4:00pm to 4:45pm – Wreath Decorating Workshop with Kevin Boyd
Kevin Boyd is the owner of Nest & Hive in Luray VA, and is small-town famous up and down the Shenandoah valley for his floral designs, especially door wreaths! He has been working in the floral industry since the age of 13. Thirty years later, he still finds a lot of excitement and joy everyday designing. Kevin has a Fine Arts degree, and applies that knowledge when he creates, and teaches! His fun, fabulous, and informative classes and demonstrations always sell out and draw a crowd! His demonstrations could cover anything from color theory, and design principles – to pop culture and glitter!
