Corrie Lynn Green is a Harrisonburg and Rockingham County native. She lived just under the Shenandoah National Park, growing up listening to stories of families born in the holler and moved from their mountain homes. She is a prolific songwriter and banjo player who captures the raw truth of life lived in poverty under the shadow of the mountain that she calls home.
Bringing her debut album to her hometown in Harrisonburg, VA, Green will perform for her friends and fans at the historic downtown Court Square Theater after receiving the Harrisonburg Rockingham County Arts Council Grant. She will be performing with the incredible session musicians from Philadelphia who helped her create this incredible work. With Adam Monaco on guitar and Mandolin, Peter Oswald on Cello, John O’Reilly Jr. on drums and Cate Gipe harmony vocals this show will be a once in a lifetime chance to see them all together. Joined by the producer Doug Fearn and Sound assistant Ian Alexander, we will celebrate the release of the album with the people who made the stories what they are.
Colin Cutler is a Greensboro-based songwriter toting a guitar and banjo, Colin Cutler’s music spans the breadth of Americana, from oldtime to blues to roots rock, with lyrics informed by the earthy storytelling traditions of the South, his Pentecostal upbringing, and literature.
